Apple has discontinued the iPod, 20 years after it was launched.
The US tech big said its iconic music player has been changed by different devices, making the iPod redundant.
Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice-president of worldwide marketing, mentioned: "At this time, the spirit of iPod lives on.
"We have integrated an unimaginable music expertise across all of our products, from the iPhone to the Apple Watch to HomePod mini, and across Mac, iPad, and Apple TV.
"And Apple Music delivers industry-leading sound quality with assist for spatial audio - there isn't any better method to get pleasure from, discover, and expertise music."
In October 2001, Steve Jobs debuted the original iPod and it was the primary MP3 player that might hold 1,000 songs and had a 10-hour battery life.
"With iPod, Apple has invented a complete new class of digital music participant that allows you to put your total music collection in your pocket and listen to it wherever you go," he stated at the time.
"With iPod, listening to music won't ever be the identical once more."
Comparable MP3 gamers launched by Microsoft and Sony didn't have the same success because the iPod.
Apple has launched five variations of its music participant - the Traditional, Touch, Shuffle, Mini and Nano.
