Taliban leader orders ladies to wear all-covering burqa in public: Decree

Afghanistan’s supreme leader and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the country’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives since the Taliban seized power.

“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it is conventional and respectful,” said a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was released by Taliban authorities at a operate in Kabul.

“Those ladies who are not too previous or younger should cover their face, except the eyes, as per sharia directives, so as to keep away from provocation when meeting males who will not be mahram (adult shut male relatives),” the decree mentioned.

It added that if ladies had no vital work outside it was “better they keep at house.”
