Teen arrested after mom noticed son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several agencies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after a teenager’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the world along with several different agencies in an try to search out him.
The teenager was found close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
