BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "faculty shooter" have been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Safety announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of costs.

An elevated amount of police officers have been positioned at faculties in the communities because of the indicators. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators across the communities, the Division of Security said, however they determined there is no such thing as a credible menace at the moment.

One such sign was written on a paper plate. The protection department launched a photo of the plate however blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of legal threatening and three misdemeanor prices together with false report back to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a listening to scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at this time.
