BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" were found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces a number of prices.
Guy Hanson. New Hampshire State PoliceAn increased amount of law enforcement officials had been positioned at colleges in the communities as a result of the signs. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.
Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators across the communities, the Department of Security stated, however they decided there isn't any credible menace presently.
The New Hampshire Department of Safety is investigating signs that learn 'faculty shooter!' which had been present in a number of communities New Hampshire Department of SafetyOne such sign was written on a paper plate. The safety division released a photo of the plate but blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation."
Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of legal threatening and three misdemeanor charges including false report back to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
No different suspects have been charged at the moment.
