TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for touring to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met online, in line with officials.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two totally different instances in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Court records say he flew forwards and backwards disguising himself as an English teacher.

A few of the boys, in line with the DOJ, have been lured with promises of money and gifts. Others introduced him as their English instructor.

The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Security investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was part of Challenge Protected Childhood, which was an effort to seek out youngster intercourse abuse started in 2006 by the DOJ.
