Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to sell broken car with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 occasions the legal alcohol restrict after at least five folks referred to as 911.

Officers say the calls began coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Essential Road exit. They say the crash triggered a flat tire and the automobile to smoke, but the driver kept going.

Different callers say the driving force was all around the road and now lacking a front tire.

They are saying he eventually stopped at a car dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”

Workers told police the driver, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to promote his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several times. Officers say he examined .291 on a conveyable breath take a look at.

Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing several prices.

He is the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
