The household of an 11-year-old woman who survived the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the taking pictures.

"Around midnight my sister-in-law referred to as me and she was simply crying, like 'I believe it just hit Miah. I feel all the things got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's teacher, Irma Garcia, was one of the two lecturers killed. Her associates and classmates have been also focused.

Rivera said that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah received some blood and put it on herself so she may fake she was dead," stated Rivera. "It's an excessive amount of for me to play that scene time and again, but that's what my sister-in-law stated is that she saw her buddy full of blood and he or she acquired blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured but taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother mentioned she had bullet fragments in her again," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, stated the household is rallying around Miah to help her recover physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this level, we simply have to hope and ask God to assist us transfer forward by this example, I do know it is traumatizing as it is," said Rivera.

Nearly everyone within the town of Uvalde has been touched by the lack of someone within the mass shooting at Robb Elementary College, residents are supporting each other as they begin coping with the tragedy.
