Because the Covid scenario has improved, several companies have already known as their employees to workplace, ending the work from home (WFH).

Nevertheless, it appears some staff need to make money working from home further. Just lately, a whole bunch of staff have resigned when an organization asked them to return to the workplace.

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr staff have resigned from the kids on-line coding learning edtech start-up within the final two months after being requested to work from workplace.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, asked its employees to return to office inside a month’s time, in accordance with an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the corporate introduced the policy to finish make money working from home and requested distant workers to return to office by April 18.

The resignations came from full-time workers of the sales, coding, and math teams. More employees are expected to put down their papers in the coming months.

One of many employees who resigned informed the website that a month’s time was not enough for relocation. “Some have kids, some have aged and sick dad and mom, while others have other obligations. It's not proper to call again employees in such a brief period of time,” the former WhiteHat Jr worker mentioned.

Another worker mentioned salaries also factored in the choice to not return to the workplace. At the time of hiring, employees have been advised about their job location – WhiteHat Jr has places of work in Gurugram, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Nonetheless, after working from home for two years, staff believed that their salaries must be revised to reflect the price of living in expensive cities.

“This was a well-planned and managed layoff that WhiteHat Jr did,” a former employee remarked.
